Highlights around Vipiteno/Sterzing

The Zwölferturm tower

is the landmark of Sterzing and was built in the 15th century. The tower marks the boundary between the old town and the new town and offers an impressive view of the surrounding area.

Reifenstein Castle

dates back to the 12th century and is one of the best-preserved medieval castles in South Tyrol. It offers guided tours that give you an insight into the history and life of the Middle Ages.

The Weiß-Spitz mountain

is a striking mountain in the Stubai Alps, near Sterzing. With an altitude of around 3,017 metres, it is a popular destination for experienced mountaineers and ski tourers. The mountain offers impressive views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, including the Wipptal valley and the Zillertal Alps.
